closed city, closed mind.
The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic threatens to burst Joe’s bubble of privilege. Unable to even play tennis, he jogs in the streets where suspicious activity convinces him a local family runs a drug operation. Pressured by his newspaper editor, Joe knows breaking this story will elevate his journalism career. He receives help only from neighbor Kate, who must overcome her (warranted) dislike of Joe if they’re to work together. During nights of endless espionage, a friendship ensues neither expected, filled with low-speed car chases, conspicuous sneaking, pulled firearms, a bit of character growth, and way too many margaritas. While Kate manages to teach him to appreciate what he has, his snooping gets him a lot more than he bargained for.
